You are probably wondering why my blog is named Nelly Travels. My Mom was born Maria Nelly Carrasco Ganoza in Chiclayo, Peru. She moved to Lima, Peru and was raised by her sister, Carmela in a cute little house in Miraflores.  Nelly  became a flight attendant and traveled the world. She married my Dad and the traveling continued. 

My sister, Dad, Mom and I were all born in different continents. I was born in Spain and we moved to the Philippines where I learned English. We have lived all over the world and have visited many countries. Nelly is the inspiration for this blog. She was always ready for an adventure and loved to travel. When she passed away in 2009, her suitcase was packed and ready to go back to Peru. So here’s to you Mom, Cheers, and happy travels.  I hope you finally made it back to Peru!
