Two ways to make your old bag go from drab to fab.

We all have nice leather bags that we have had for a long time and yes, they probably were expensive, and at one point we loved them and wore them like crazy. But now, we have other options and have become a little bored of them. Does this happen to you? It happens with my bags, my clothes, and shoes. Makes me feel so ungrateful. Bored of a nice leather bag that has treated us so well over the years. Still smells of leather and holds all of our items and has traveled with us all over the world. I agree, it is so much more fun to buy a new bag but it’s not always in the financial cards. Not everybody can buy a new bag once we get bored of our old ones, at least I can’t. They are so darn expensive!

I have a nice Marc Jacobs black bag. It is a simple black bucket bag and I have had it for years and years. It is a great bag and it sits in my closet and looks at me. I feel bad. It’s like the Toy Story toys that don’t get played with anymore. This bag sits in my closet staring at me screaming, “Use me, no no no, not the Gucci bag, no no no, not the Chanel bag, please please please choose me!” So very sad.

So, recently, I found a new way to spruce up my Marc Jacobs bag and I have to say, it has worked! I get stopped all the time with people asking me where I bought the bag. In reality, the bag has not changed, but what has changed is the purse strap and a scarf I added to it. Oh, so much fun in changing the purse strap and adding a scarf. It completely changes the look of the purse. Some think my Marc Jacobs bag is now a Gucci bag, but it’s not!
